New York, NY. – Sports broadcaster and former professional tennis player Patrick McEnroe announces today with producing partner MuddHouse Media the official launch of Season Two of his critically-acclaimed new podcast, “Holding Court.” Launching on April 27, 2021, the podcast’s Season Two features McEnroe in conversations with an array of lauded actors, musicians, sports icons, and politicians: John McEnroe; Seal; Kristin Chenoweth; Senator Kirsten Gillibrand; Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos); Gavin Rossdale (BUSH); Pico Iyer; Dean Karnazes; Peter, Bjorn and John; Andy Roddick; James Blake; Jaren Lewison (Netflix’s “Never Have I Ever”); Norm Lewis; John Feinstein; Andrea Jaeger; Mardy Fish; Delfeayo Marsalis; and Dan Tepfer. Episodes of “Holding Court” will air twice a week (Tuesdays/Thursdays) on all major podcast platforms through August 19.
Patrick McEnroe is a renowned ESPN commentator for today’s most prestigious tennis competitions, including the Australian Open, U.S. Open, Wimbledon, and others. Offering expert match analysis and play-by-play commentary, McEnroe is a leading voice in the tennis world. He often appears alongside his brother John McEnroe as a premier broadcasting team for famous match-ups of tennis stars while providing insights on the next generation of players ready to take center stage. On “Holding Court,” Patrick and John will give a “State of Tennis” breakdown each month (April 27, June 3, July 1, August 3) with Patrick interviewing compelling celebrities weekly (on Thursdays) to discuss topics well beyond the tennis court.
Patrick McEnroe is a former professional tennis player and former captain of the United States Davis Cup team. Born in Manhasset, New York, he won one singles title and 16 doubles titles, including the 1989 French Open. In 1989, he won the French Open men’s doubles title and the Masters doubles title, partnering with Jim Grabb. In the Davis Cup, McEnroe represented his country as a doubles player in 1993, 1994 and 1996, compiling a 3-1 record. He was named the 38th Captain of the United States Davis Cup team in 2000 and won the Cup for the U.S. in December 2007. He is the longest serving U.S. Davis Cup captain and resigned in 2010.
